As a human-centred designer I like to break down problems big and small in order to find efficient solutions, keeping people at the heart of the process.
I focus on products that aim to provide real value, from supporting coffee farmers with Pact Coffee to helping young adults find a career path with the American Student Assistance.
I start every project by understanding what the goal is and what does success look like (this usually means asking “why?” a bunch of times so bear with me!). After establishing the goal we can create a plan of action, define the deliverables and set a timeline.

It’s rare that you come across a designer so committed to being the voice of the user like Matt. I had the pleasure to work with Matt at UNIT9 collaborating with several commercial and R&D projects.
Matt’s passion for user centred design and his rigorous design thinking methodologies and ability to translate it into design artefacts like wireframes and user journeys made him a great team member of any design team.
I really enjoyed working with Matt during his time at Pact Coffee. He brought a unique perspective to the business and helped transform the way we approach digital design.
He demonstrated a robust understanding of the entire UX process, from running user research, organising insights to identify user problems and delivering design solutions ready for development and further testing. I hope we get the chance to work together again in the future!
